Here are the weekly cable ratings, by number of viewers.
Wait, no SpongeBob SquarePants this week? Actually, two episodes of the show just missed making the top 10. Probably because a certain cranky physician named House decided to go on a rampage this week and take up three spots. The NBA Playoffs are rather popular too.
1. Monday Night RAW (USA)
2. NFL Draft (ESPN)
3. Monday Night RAW (USA)
4. NBA Playoffs (TNT)
5. Home (USA)
6. House (USA)
7. Home (USA)
8. NBA Playoffs (ESPN)
9. NBA Playoffs (TNT)
10. Zoey 101 (Nickelodeon)

Allison told you a couple of months ago about the possibility of Family Guy’s Cleveland getting his own spinoff show. Well now it looks like that’s going to be a reality (not a reality show, but a cartoon … oh, you know what I mean).
The show, titled Cleveland, is expected to get a 13 episode order when FOX announces its fall schedule at its upfront in a couple of weeks (TV Squad will have complete coverage of all of the upfronts, of course). No word on whether or not the character will stay on Family Guy too. I wonder if the show will be set in the same town as Family Guy? Maybe they’ll even have epic two part shows, with each part on a different show.
In other FOX news, the network could also pick up two other animated shows: Sit Down, Shut Up and The Pitts. Wait, wasn’t The Pitts a live action show that FOX had a few years ago?
Yes. Yes it was.

Here are the weekly Television ratings, by number of viewers.
OK, can someone explain to me why Lost, which returned after several weeks away with an important (and great) episode, only came in #15 in viewers this week? This season it has been showing up in the top 10 a lot, sometimes even in the top 5 or 6, and now it slips to 15? Gah.
In other news, I finally watched Rules of Engagement this week. It’s actually a funny show.
1. American Idol - Tues (FOX)
2. American Idol - Weds (FOX)
3. Dancing with the Stars - Mon (ABC)
4. Dancing with the Stars - Tues (ABC)

If you’re at this site, that means you love TV, and if you love TV, you’ve some pretty strong views when it comes to its content, its history, its future. So let’s fight about it.
After the jump are five opinions/ideas that I have. You’re probably not going to concur with me on some of them (or any of them), but I think they’re a great jumping-off point to get some arguments intelligent discussions going. Be warned that the following contains views that are probably going to tick you off and maybe even some that’ll make you think I’ve lost my mind.

That’s the rumor about Reaper that’s swirling around the industry. And it might be true, because although it does better in the ratings overall than Gossip Girl, the latter show has already been renewed.
That’s because Gossip Girl has several things going for it that Reaper doesn’t: buzz, sex, controversy, and higher ratings in the younger 18 to 34 demographic that networks and advertisers love.

It’s been over two months since the WGA Strike officially ended. While most people probably assume that everything is back to normal, especially since most shows have returned with new episodes over the past few weeks, there’s an interesting article over at the LA Times explaining why things aren’t so great in Hollywood. Especially for Television crew members.
While the country itself seems to be spinning into a recession as necessities such as gas, milk, and eggs jump in price, many below-the-line TV crew workers (propmasters, make-up artists, electricians, and set carpenters, etc.) are experiencing their own economic crisis.
