Here are the weekly TV ratings, by number of viewers.
Um, OK, I had to do a double take (or maybe a triple) when I saw these ratings for Lost. Number 1 for the week?? I knew it would do better since it was the season finale, but the top spot, up 18 spots from last week? That’s pretty cool.
The new edition of Password took the number 3 spot. Meanwhile, the number 18 show really kinda baffles me.
1. Lost (ABC)
2. Two and a Half Men (CBS)
3. Million Dollar Password (CBS)

I used to watch both The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game when I was a kid, and it wasn’t until years later that I realized how filthy both of them were. Both would have all of these double entendres and suggestive questions, and the answers from the contestants were often something you wouldn’t even say to a friend in private. Example from The Newlywed Game:
Bob Eubanks: “Where’s the weirdest place that you and your husband have made whoopee?”
Woman: “In the a**?”
Now, this wasn’t shown on TV until Eubanks showed the clip on an episode of NBC’s Most Outrageous Moments a few years ago (the original answer was never shown on TV and the woman was given a chance to give another answer, and another contestant gave a similar answer years earlier), but many of the questions and answers were suggestive in that way.

Given that you’ve made the wise choice to visit tvsquad.com, I feel pretty safe jumping to the conclusion that you are a fan of television. With that in mind, you should really enjoy the round table Hollywood Reporter recently put together with Damon Lindelof (Lost), Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies), David Shore (House), Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), and Craig Thomas (How I Met Your Mom).
The group got together to talk about a number of different topics. Among them, the strike and what could be the cause of the lowered numbers as shows came back. They also share some pleasing examples of they hypocrisy that is network standards and practices. The Emmys come up as well, with the group sharing their thoughts about who is deserving of consideration. It all makes for an interesting look behind the scenes and is definitely worth your click. And if all that isn’t enough, the story also includes a video where Damon Lindelof manages to reference both Nash Bridges and Remington Steele. Who can pass up Nash Bridges?
